Wire Mesh Fence Panels

Commonly used in the agriculture industry, welded wire fencing panels come in various forms to cater to various needs: either that of superior strength, or in a more economic, cost-friendly form.
Cheaper forms come in plain steel without galvanizing, while those of superior quality may be electro-galvanized, hot-dipped galvanized or plastic-coated (PVC-coated). Compared to the cheaper forms, those of superior quality have the added feature of being resistant to corrosion. Welded wire mesh fence panels may be made of low-carbon steel wire or stainless steel wire. The wires are weaved before galvanizing, and are also galvanized individually prior to weaving.
The wire fabric in wire mesh fence panels is made up of steel wires assembled in parallel arrangements. These wires are methodically organized in two orthogonal directions, and points of contact among the wires are put together via electrical welding processes. Spot welding by a welding machine is the specific welding process utilized in the interconnection of wires in wire mesh fence panels. This secures the interconnections between wires. Welding also allows easy installation, and it also improves the overall strength of the wire mesh fence panels.

Wires used in wire mesh fence panels are obtained through either of two ways; first is through cold-rolling, second is through wire drawing done by utilizing the hot-rolled wire created in the steelworks. These wires serve as raw material in the production of wire mesh fence panels.
Several specifications distinguish one wire mesh fence panel from another. Wire mesh fence panels vary according to wire diameter, surface treatment, tensile breaking strength, elongation, as well as panel length and width. Wire diameters in wire mesh fence panels range from 1.5mm to 6mm, while mesh openings are offered in sizes ranging from 1/2″ X 1/2″ to 4″ X 2″. Special sizes can also be custom made based on demand. Among standard panel sizes available are the following:
Specification: Wire Diameter* Corresponding Mesh Opening*
1.5mm 1/2″ X 1/2″
2mm 1″ X 1″
3mm 1″ X 1″
3mm 1-1/4″ X 1-1/4″
4mm 1-1/2″ X 1-1/2″
2mm 2″ X 2″
3mm 2″ X 2″
4mm 2″ X 2″
5mm 2″ X 2″
6mm 4″ X 2″
*Custom sizes can be procured.
Welded wire mesh fence panels have a wide scope of applications. This also means that welded wire mesh fence panels are essential in several areas of industry. In industrial construction sites, a special form of fence panels which are known as the welded steel bar grating panels are frequently used in construction reinforcement, and may also serve as ground for tunnels, bridges, highways, airports and wharfs. These are also employed in the construction of wall bodies.
Buildings and factories, which are often in need of materials to serve as guards, utilize welded mesh fence panels for the same reason – delimiting areas of entrance and exit thus establishing an area of jurisdiction. These fence panels are also widely used in the agriculture and horticulture industry, serving as animal enclosures and tree guards for plant protection. As their name implies, these fences are effective in providing sufficient security for people as well as animals. Roads, railways, and other public facilities also make use of these fences to cordon off people and animals.
